John Moon

Managing Director

John is the Managing Director responsible for all aspects of the business. John has in-depth knowledge of investment property, business consultancy and commercial mortgages and has over 25 years experience in these fields, both commercially and personally. However, much of John's time is currently spent counselling individuals and businesses, helping them to simplify their problems and issues. John has an ability to quickly get to the heart of a problem, eliminating the confusion and seemingly endless variables which prevent so many people going forward. John commenced his career with NatWest in 1973 and became a commercial lending specialist. John is an accomplished writer and public speaker with countless radio, TV, commentating and media appearances to his credit.  Also a successful racing driver in his spare time, John competes at circuits all over Europe. Merle Penaliggon

IFA Consultant

Qualifications: FPC, CMS

With over 20 years experience in the industry, Merle is well placed to head up our Bristol operation. Merle is well versed in all aspects of general financial planning advice but these days specialises in 'buy to let' and overseas mortgages. Like all of us is she is an expert on property. Phil James

Phil looks after our clients' retirement planning, pension and investment requirements as well as assisting our corporate clients with occupational and employee benefit work. Phil has over 20 years experience in the industry and is well know and highly respected by his peers, with a reputation for thorough investigative analysis and scrupulous attention to detail. In recent years Phil has helped to develop our overseas property interests particularly in Croatia and Turkey (where he owns property). Phil has a young family and any spare time is devoted to them. Jackie Crockett

IFA Consultant

Qualifications: FPC, CMS, Adv CeMAP, CeRCC

Jackie joined NatWest bank in 1976 where she developed her career over the following 15 years. Her specialisations were personal lending and perfection of security, both of which have stood her in good stead in the mortgage market in which she mainly operates. Jackie ran her own filling station business for 5 years, where she developed a formidable commercial sense, before joining Edison Ford in 1997. She is an active property investor and has an extensive knowledge of commercial finance and business matters. Jackie is married and her main love (besides her husband!) is Friesian horses. In February 2008, Jackie became one of the few female IFAs in the country to pass the advanced CeMap examination, covering the more complex aspects of residential and commercial lending. She also obtained a certificate in regulated customer care, so has even more letters after her name! In September 2008, Jackie won the 'Mystery Shopper' evaluation in Financial Adviser magazine. Additionally, Mike Ford (Cert PFS), (01454 322299) founder of Ford & Company with whom Edison Associates Ltd merged in 2000, is retained by the business as development consultant, playing an integral part in the company's future growth plans and strategy.
